My Prototype website

Over the last few months I have been taking part in a Bootcamp run by DPN Digital Peninsula Network to ‘design your own website’ – and this is the result.

I have just asked a number of family and friends to please take a look and try it out, before the launch next week) and please give me some feedback about how it works and suggestions for improvement.

Everyone who responded said they liked it, one person commented on my elegant logo (thanks Canva!), another suggested that my name was too small. Others suggested things such as re ordering the three services I offer; promoting more of the work I do in Cornish language and Cornish script; change the spelling of Keates to Keats and why him? (Other poets are available!); my pricing is too low (although that is the ‘from’ price) and several viewed on their mobiles which showed up some awkward misfits on the page which I need to correct, as the pages were all designed on a laptop computer with a wide screen.

Thank you everyone who took the time to do this for me! Invaluable advice and suggestions to which I will work on improving before the big launch! Thank you also for allowing me to see through Google Analytics, the average time you all spent looking at my prototype site and the number of clicks you made navigating through and testing if the links worked!

But most of all, Thank you to the tutors, admins and Autumn Class of 2023 students who made the course possible, enjoyable and who all have an endless amount of patience and understanding and respect for each other and the various places we are at in our WordPress Web Design journey.
